He wants an opportunity to get to know her, but she keeps avoiding him. When they become stranded in a hunter's cabin, will she lower her guard and open her heart to Cameron?

How we celebrate Christmas?

Because we live so far away from family and in high elevation (6500’) travel is not always an option for us. We we do travel, we either visit my family in Louisiana or my husband’s family in Kansas. When we visit my family, we meet at my mom’s house with my brother and his wife and my sister and niece. My mom starts cooking at about 8:00 am. Her table is filled with many Cajun dishes. Usually a chicken and sausage gumbo or pork stew, duck, ham, potato salad, green beans (or some other type of vegetable) and whatever else she decides to cook! There’s usually two or three desserts as well. We open presents before Christmas dinner then enjoy the feast then everyone pitches in to clean up. Afterward we visit.

Convinced a family get-together is what Nonna needs to lift her spirits, he plans an eightieth birthday party for her, making sure his siblings and cousins attend. The Keswick jewelry store where Jayne Austin has worked for seven years closes its doors. Jayne takes her generous severance pay and heads off to Italy—Tuscany to be precise. She hasn’t been able to forget those smoldering brown eyes and that rich Italian accent. J…

Excerpt
The door opened, and Brooklyn ducked through. The only mascara left on her face was a faint smudge below one of her eyes. That could only mean one thing: she was pregnant. She took an uncertain step toward him. He wrapped her in his arms, but even so, she’d never been further out of his reach. “I can’t do this,” she said against his shoulder. “You can.” He leaned his head to look at her face. Her closed eyes seeped tears. “We’ll do it together.” Liar. He couldn’t help her with a baby. That job belonged to Caleb. Yet, he had the sense that the promise answered his prayer. It …
