Precious Embrace by Donna B Snow

Blurb : Laura Senton has found peace and happiness, knowing she’s right where she belongs, running her own kitchen at A Piece of Heaven , a Christian coffee house in Pingree, MD. Being partners with her dear friend, Trina, she has carved out a niche and counts her blessings daily for being able to do something she loves doing. When the sins of her past are brought to mind by the appearance of Sean Laylor, her teenage crush, Laura tries to hide from Sean, as well as her own feelings. At first not recognizing Laura because she changed so much, Sean is at a loss as to why she tries to avoid him. He has no idea of what Laura went through years ago, or how she felt toward him, but he still feels a share of the guilt for her past once he learns  some of the choices she made. Both covet the memories of their time together, but sins of the past can be a tough hurdle to get over. Extract : Trina’s voice carried in over the sounds of the crowd. Laura set four salads ...

Piece of Heaven by Donna B. Snow

Blurb Trina Wembly dreamt of owning a Christian coffee house for years –a Godly place where people could enjoy a good meal, and entertainment that wasn’t offensive. A Piece of Heaven is that dream. Jared Larou, the construction foreman who helps design and build the coffee house, is a wounded soul with a soft heart. Once the coffee house opens, Trina and her partner, Laura, work day and night. From coffee in the morning, to gourmet dinners in the evenings, it’s a heavy load. Plus Trina performs most nights as the entertainer at the coffee house. Trina longs to be more than just friends with Jared, she just hopes that’s what God wants for her too. Buy Link Review I had the privilege of seeing a very early copy of this story a long time ago. And it only improved over time. Trina and Jared are both characters that worm their way effortlessly into your heart and have you alternately rooting for them and yelling at them. Which is always a sign of a good book. Ms. Snow had me la...

A Piece of Heaven - Donna B Snow

The Christmas season passes so quickly, but honestly, Christmas is a day to remind us of the ultimate gift. That Jesus could love ME (yes, and you) so much to be willing to give His life for us. (I am so unworthy.) But I have accepted His gift, and I can only pray that I can bring that gift to others!  I have just begun to realize that God is calling me to be a blessing (possibly calling all of us, but I can’t speak for anyone else). I recently went to a Women of Faith conference and walked away after shedding more tears than I even knew I could shed.  At first I thought it was chastisement, but by the end of the second day I realized that it was His Spirit filling that place that brought me to that point. So, I am learning to let God work through me, work in me. I am learning to be a blessing, not look for the blessing. Will you be a blessing to someone in this season of giving? I wish I had a current story to share, although A Piece of Heaven is coming, I have n...

Advent day 7 pt 1 - Donna B Snow

CHRISTMAS ANGEL By Donna B. Snow Lisa rubbed a hand over the hood on Giselle’s snowsuit, tucking her closer as they rocked. The little snorts and snuffles coming from the baby, a balm to Lisa’s frayed nerves. After a warm bottle from a boiling pan of water on the gas grill, Giselle was finally ready to settle down for the night. Lisa hugged her close then stood to carry the baby to her room. She shivered when the blanket fell off her shoulders as she stood. She would put on another sweatshirt as soon as Giselle was tucked in. A candle flickered in the baby’s room casting enough light to lay her in the crib and cover her with the sheepskin blanket and the warm quilt on top of that. Thank God she was too small to roll over yet. Lisa checked that the hat was still snug on the baby’s head just in case the hood somehow came loose then she stepped out into the hallway, glancing back once more. Oh Lord, pl...

Guest Author - Donna B Snow

today I welcome my friend and crit partner and fellow author Donna B Snow. Her debut White Rose novel Daffodils came out on April 8th. How did you come up with your premise? I love reunion stories, and even more so, I honestly believe we all hold on to at least a little bit of our “first love”. So this is just an extra twist on that. Is there a story behind your book? Not really, although I honestly believe God has one perfect person for each of us, if we don’t get impatient and choose for ourselves. How did the story evolve? Well it actually started out as a sweetheart romance, to fit in with a preconceived story line. But as I was writing, the spirit was continuously nudging me toward the inspirational element that belonged in the story. So after many rewrites, and one final rejection as a sweetheart story, I did a major rewrite, and it became the inspirational story it was supposed to be. I could have saved myself a lot of time by just listening to the spirit to begin wit...
