See How They Run / See How They Hide by Clare Revell

Both of the new Ellery/York books are now out in the big wide world. See How They Run came out on May 24, followed by the sequel See How They Hide on June 7. I would have posted sooner, but a hand injury prevented my typing for several weeks, But now, a month after surgery, all is back to normal. The Headley Cross marathon has been held every year since it was founded in 1983. This time, as well as the full run, a half marathon is being offered, and preparations are well under way. DS Zander Ellery and DC Isabel York have a hectic caseload and could well do without the squad having to run the marathon. When the race is threatened, they and the other members of the MIU/Major Crimes are tasked with neutralizing the threat.  As the day of the race draws near, with ten thousand runners due to take to the streets, time to find the culprit is running out. Lives are at stake, and Ellery and York must succeed in winning this race. --Part 1 of the SEE HOW Ellery & York sub-s...

Convergence

This book started life about three or so years ago as a short story called Dancing Man. It then morphed through several drafts, and names (including a suggested Waltzing Matilda! but that's another story - literally) before finally becoming Convergence. Which is an amazing name as not just lives, but time convergences within it's pages. Blurb: Even as a teenager Yvetta Graham had vivid dreams. Ones she couldn't tell from reality. Only now she's almost thirty and beyond such things. Only the new store manager is a dead ringer for the man from those dreams. Who is John Smyth? What is his reason for coming to Headley Cross? Is he really a time traveller? As dreams and reality converge Yvetta is in a fight for both her sanity and soul. Extract: Someone was following her. The steps were light, but audible on the large grey flagstones that lined the floor of the castle. It couldn’t be Blaize. He’d had to go out, fulfil his duty as sheriff and dea...

Fatefall Fall by Erin Unger

Blurb: Private Investigator Ava Worthington and her partners head to the mountains to solve the death of a farmer owner’s son who was discovered murdered in an outhouse on the property. Without local cowboy Cory’s protection, Ava won’t get the chance to follow leads as the killer tries to stop her investigation. But Ava’s falling for Cory against her better judgment. She should be working and not pining after a cowboy. And Cory doesn’t want a relationship. His successful career was destroyed by a woman he trusted, and he won’t make the same mistake twice. One suspect after another is cleared from Ava’s list until she’s sure she has the real killer targeted in her sights, but he’s hunting her, too. How will Ava and Cory find the killer and admit their love before they are buried under a mountain of secrets? Fateful Fall is my fourth book and I’m beyond excited to share it with readers. It is the perfect example of God’s timing. You see, this book was born once before. My fir...
