Can a risky proposition at Christmastide make them see each other in new light and bring a happily-ever-after for both of them?   Inspiration:   The inspiration for this book comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17  “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.”  love this verse and the idea behind it. When a person chooses Christ and becomes born again that person is a new creation. Something is there that wasn’t there before. It is such a wonderful and clean feeling.  That feeling lasts for a short time. I estimate that for most of us it lasts as long as it takes to run into an old friend that h

Christmas House by LoRee Peery

inspiration behind the book  For ten years, each time I skimmed through my ideas file, I’d hesitate at a saved article. The tale is a survivor’s story of how a woman and her four siblings lived in a ten-by-twenty-foot storage unit. The woman’s courage and determination to overcome haunted me. I don’t know how she managed without the Lord’s guidance, except that God obviously looked out for her. She came to life as Pepper, who meets our Lord and the love of her life in  Christmas House .     Pepper Rainwater has just bought the first real home she' s ever had, and she' s decorating and celebrating Christmas with everything she has. The neighbor' s miniature donkeys and meeting Foxx interrupt her life. Can she turn from all she' d been taught and trust strangers? A startling discovery after his father' s death forces Foxx Haven to face an unknown past. His life has been a lie. “Christmas at Whispering Creek” by Barbara M. Britton

Today is my launch day for “Christmas at Whispering Creek.” Paperback fans will have to wait until December 1 st . I’m excited to share my story with the world. This novel is my first contemporary romance, and my heroine, Samantha, is a breast cancer survivor. I am a breast cancer survivor, too. Praise God! I share about my cancer journey in the back of Samantha and Cole’s story. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I’m excited that my publisher released the eBook in October. I never dreamed about incorporating breast cancer into a romance novel, but after being contacted by two friends who had breast cancer diagnoses, I thought the idea may touch a lot of women’s lives. I have been cancer-free for several years and I am thankful for each new day God gives me. The verses in this book were ones that I read constantly throughout my treatment. Don’t worry about the storyline. There’s enough humor and adventure to keep you laughing and tissue-free.   Book blurb: All
