Phooey Kerflooey and the deep deep dark by Kristen Joy Wilks

 Phooey is back!

My introduction to the story: "Phooey and her boys have finally moved to a camp! An off-grid Bible camp very similar to the one that my grandparents founded in 1973 in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Having lived and worked at that camp for over thirty years, I have soooooo many crazy camp tales to use as a spark for Phooey's adventures! Phooey Kerflooey vs The Deep, Deep Dark was inspired by the many times that the camp generator broke and left us without electricity!"

Blurb:

Phooey Kerflooey is afraid of the dark. At Camp Castle Pine, the lights go off with the generator and the world is blanketed in darkness. After her boys read a Bible story about Pharaoh, some plagues, and The Destroyer (who seems a lot like the Angel of Death) Phooey is horrified. This Bible story is much too scary! Things are bad enough when the dark only happens after everyone goes to bed. But the camp’s generator breaks, and the darkness stays all night long. This is darkness that “can be felt,” just like in the Bible! When a frog hops on her tail and a grasshopper jumps on her head, Phooey is sure the plagues are coming again! The Angel of Death has killed the generator and now he’s coming for Phooey and her boys! Phooey Kerflooey must battle Pharaoh’s Evil Electrician and fix the generator herself, before it’s too late!

Theme verse: John 8:12—Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (NLT)

This is book #3 in the Phooey Tales: Spring series!

Kristen Joy Wilks writes from a remote mountain meadow that alternates between quiet and chaos. The mom of three sons, a cat named Whisper Persnickety, and Nessie Grace Karu her giant Newfoundland dog, she lives with her camp director husband at Camas Meadows Bible Camp. Kristen has survived many dark nights when the camp generator breaks and loves the glorious swirl of stars God provides to shine into the darkness. Her stories highlight the humor and grace God gives amidst the detritus of life.

A Stalker To Die For by Katy Eeten

A Stalker to Die For by Katy Eeten I began writing this book at least ten years ago. But as often happens, I hit a writing roadblock and put the manuscript to the side. At the time, I wasn’t sure how to make the plot more intriguing or how to give the story a satisfying conclusion. Instead, I focused my efforts on writing five different contemporary Christian novels and novellas over the past several years. But something kept drawing me back to this storyline, so I knew I had to finish it. A Stalker to Die For was my first attempt at adding suspense into the mix—and it was easier said than done! But I finally completed it. And thanks to a great editor, this book guides readers through a variety of emotions while walking the line between romance, faith, and a suspenseful thrill or two. Son of the Mountain King by O.R.Sykora

Blurb:  When an invasion threatens the land of the Mountain King, the fate of the people rests on the shoulders of young governor Judah. She has sworn to prove herself a skillful leader by protecting her kingdom from foes, but difficulty and danger surround her.   Then Judah’s life is saved by two different men who divide her loyalty. One, a fascinating healer, captures the hearts of Judah and her people. The other, a mysterious shepherd, forces Judah to question what she believes to be true.   When a conspiracy comes to light that could destroy Judah and her kingdom, a single choice might cost her people everything. Will the headstrong leader prove herself—or find herself trapped? Extract:    This was always my favorite part.   At a signal, a few young men stepped forward bearing beautifully ornamented boxes. The wood was intricately carved with mountain settings and animals, with graceful accents of gold and precious stones. The first young ma...
