Books, books and more books

Happy New Year!

The year everyone has 2020 vision... apart from me who can't see a thing without my glasses on. And yes I know everyone thinks that, but there you go.

So this year, my aim is to talk lots about books. The ones I have written, am writing, am or have read and so on. And if I only did one post a week, it'd take over a year just to talk about my books as I have (consults sheet of paper on the desk) 59 published, or pending, and that's not including the three I'm talking about today.

Anthologies.

I have taken part in several box sets - none of which are still in print although my solo's are.
However the following three anthologies are. All available from my publisher Pelican Book Group.

Red

By His stripes we are healed and by His sacrifice we are redeemed. What does it mean to be saved by the Blood of the Lamb? In this devotional written by Pelican Book Group authors, discover that, while life may seem to be painted in multiple shades of gray, there is only one hue that restores body and soul and offers eternal life. RED inspires individuals to ponder the sacrifice of Christā€”that free gift which offers healing and salvation to all who believe.

Nothing wrong with a free book :) Now, back to typing up the book with no name, well, it actually has several names. I just can't decide on one.
Oh and speaking of free books, Pelican have a great selection of FREE books in the fiction line as well. I have a couple there, but more about those ones later in the year.
Til next time... keep reading. (And reviewing. Authors love reviews.)

Thanks for doing this, Clare! Nice to see these special anthologies getting a little attention. Iā€™ve always loved them, and Iā€™m so glad theyā€™re still in print. Like Pamela, I am very proud to have been a part of these projects. Hmm. Maybe itā€™s time I open my blog again and give them a little attention myself. LOL

Escape to Whispering Creek by Barbara M Britton

ā€œEscape to Whispering Creekā€ Barbara M. Britton   Thanks for having me on the blog again, Clare. Today is my launch day for ā€œEscape to Whispering Creek.ā€ Paperback fans will have to wait until October 31 st  to get their hands on Emma and Wadeā€™s story. Readers will be able to head back to my Tennessee town with Emma. When Emmaā€™s life implodes, she drives to see her bestie Sam in Whispering Creek. Emma hopes to get a job and make some money, but she never expects to fall in love with grumpy Wade. Samantha and Cole from ā€œChristmas at Whispering Creekā€ return in this story, but ā€œEscapeā€ can be read as a standalone novel.   Book blurb: Emma Uranova enjoys her office job until her boss disappears with the investors' money. To avoid the media storm and false accusations, Emma flees to Whispering Creek, Tennessee to live on her best friend' s secluded property. Phooey Kerflooey: Three Kids And A Puppy vs The Squirrel Of The Apocalypse by Kristen Joy Wilkes

Kristen says "Once upon a time, our family of three young boys welcomed a princess into our home. A furry princess, a princess who ended up weighing more than they did, was terrified of haybales and bags of chicken feed, and refused to drink out of anything but her own special mug. Our boys were charmed by their puppy princess and asked that I write a story based on her. It took me seven years, but finally I present to you  Phooey Kerflooey ! While our own boys delighted in Princess Leia Freyjaā€™s scaredy-cat antics and princess ways, the boys in the story take a bit longer to appreciate Phooeyā€™s gifts. However, I pray that you will enjoy their journey together as they battle the squirrel of the apocalypse and search for perfect peace amidst a storm of chaos. " And I loved this one. It's gone straight back into the TBR pile. A puppy will fix everything.  A boring new house?  Boring house + puppy = adventure!    An attacking squirrel?  Evil squirrel + puppy =...

The Time for Healing by Ramona K Cecil

Winner - Best in Fiction Indiana Faith and Writing Contest 2014 Ginny Red Fawn McLain is determined to hold fast to her adoptive Shawnee culture despite her sudden reentry into her white birth family. She rejects their Christianity, fearing the tenets of the white manā€™s religion will prevent her from practicing as a Shawnee medicine woman. But her heart refuses to shun her uncleā€™s young friend and apprentice minister, Jeremiah Dunbar.   Jeremiah Dunbar has never doubted what he would do with his lifeā€”heā€™d follow in his fatherā€™s footsteps as a minister of the Gospel. But a mission trip west to the Native American tribes makes him begin to question his future plans. At the discovery of his fellow missionaryā€™s long lost niece living among the Shawnee, Jeremiah is immediately smitten. But unless Ginny Red Fawn McLain joins Christā€™s foldā€”something she adamantly resistsā€”Jeremiah will have to choose between the woman he loves and the work God has called him to do.    G...
