Books, books and more books

Happy New Year!

The year everyone has 2020 vision... apart from me who can't see a thing without my glasses on. And yes I know everyone thinks that, but there you go.

So this year, my aim is to talk lots about books. The ones I have written, am writing, am or have read and so on. And if I only did one post a week, it'd take over a year just to talk about my books as I have (consults sheet of paper on the desk) 59 published, or pending, and that's not including the three I'm talking about today.

I have taken part in several box sets - none of which are still in print although my solo's are.
However the following three anthologies are. All available from my publisher Pelican Book Group.

By His stripes we are healed and by His sacrifice we are redeemed. What does it mean to be saved by the Blood of the Lamb? In this devotional written by Pelican Book Group authors, discover that, while life may seem to be painted in multiple shades of gray, there is only one hue that restores body and soul and offers eternal life. RED inspires individuals to ponder the sacrifice of Christ—that free gift which offers healing and salvation to all who believe.
Authors include:
H.L Wegley, Michael Duncan, Mary Manners, Sharon Srock, LoRee Peery, Delia Latham, Davalynn Spencer, Robin Bayne, Carla Rossi, Marianne Evans, Tanya Stowe, Jody Day, Marian Merritt, Anne Greene, Clare Revell, E.A. West, Susan Lyttek, Pamela S. Thibodeaux

Nothing wrong with a free book :) Now, back to typing up the book with no name, well, it actually has several names. I just can't decide on one.
Oh and speaking of free books, Pelican have a great selection of FREE books in the fiction line as well. I have a couple there, but more about those ones later in the year.
Til next time... keep reading. (And reviewing. Authors love reviews.)

Thanks for doing this, Clare! Nice to see these special anthologies getting a little attention. I’ve always loved them, and I’m so glad they’re still in print. Like Pamela, I am very proud to have been a part of these projects. Hmm. Maybe it’s time I open my blog again and give them a little attention myself. LOL

Lioness, Mahlah's Journey. By Barbara Britton

Book Blurb: While the Israelites struggle to occupy the Promised Land of God, Mahlah bat Zelophehad is orphaned and left to care for her four sisters. But daughters of the dead are unable to inherit land, and it will take a miracle for Mahlah to obtain the means to care for her sisters and uphold the vow she made to her dying mother.

Mahlah must seek Moses, the leader of her people, and request something extraordinary—the right for a daughter to inherit her deceased father’s land. A right that will upset the ox-cart of male inheritance and cast her in the role of a rebel.

But, God is the protector of the orphan and the widow, and five orphaned daughters need His help. With God, anything is possible. Even changing man’s tradition.
Excerpt: Back and forth inside their tent, Mahlah paced. “God of Jacob, give me wisdom. Is this what You would have Your servant do? I see no other way to save my sisters and carry my family name into Canaan, Your Promised Land.” Sweat pooled above her lip. “C…

Claiming Canaan by Barbara M Britton

“Claiming Canaan: Milcah’s Journey”
Book blurb: When the tribal elders make marriage a requirement for claiming her land, Milcah bat Zelophehad must find a betrothed straightaway. The only problem in finding a husband is that all her suitors were slain while conquering the land of Canaan. Men avoid her in order to stay alive.

After praying to God to send her a bold suitor, a man from her father's clan plummets from a tree right on top of her. Is this God answering prayer, or a foolish antic by Eli, the war-scarred brother from one of her clan's rival families?

Will settling in Canaan sort out Milcah's troubles, or have her woes just begun? Extract: Milcah’s sandal crunched on something solid. She glanced at the dirt. Praise be. A massive oak had scattered twigs and small branches on the ground for her to pluck. Was this bounty a sign that God had heard her prayer? She laughed as she bent to gather the wood. How could twigs be a sign? Something plunked to the soil by the trunk of…
