Ever wonder about the adventure in the Colorado mountains? Red Gold takes you on a fun ride of overflowing adventure and mystery surrounding the High Country Safari guest ranch. Mandy Phillips will risk everything to protect her guests and her land.
My husband and I have lived in Colorado for almost thirty years. We love the mountains, the adventures we find ourselves on, the places we can explore, the back country four-wheeling, it's endless in this state.
We always dreamed of what it would be like to own and operate a guest ranch here, but we never found a way to make that dream a reality. Being a writer, I finally found my way.
The idea for the book developed with a lot of expansion on what all could go wrong... My husband is a wonderful person to brainstorm with, so we spend a lot of time coming up with various things for the characters to go through.
We also put a lot of miles on our four-wheel drive vehicle which will take us into places most people can't get to. And a few maybe we shouldn't have gotten into. But being able to see so much of the hidden beauty that God created in these mountains is such a fun blessing. We love to explore, and I love to share that with my readers.
I love to develop characters with lots of issues they have to learn to deal with. And when they discover they need the Lord to get them through those struggles, they come more alive on the page.
Red Gold is a real page turner. It keeps you going since so many things keep happening. It's adventure with old mines, wildlife, four-wheeling, mineral thieves and kidnappers. All handled through faith in God. Hope you get a chance to read it and enjoy the ride.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5,6

Phooey Kerflooey: Three Kids And A Puppy vs The Squirrel Of The Apocalypse by Kristen Joy Wilkes

Kristen says "Once upon a time, our family of three young boys welcomed a princess into our home. A furry princess, a princess who ended up weighing more than they did, was terrified of haybales and bags of chicken feed, and refused to drink out of anything but her own special mug. Our boys were charmed by their puppy princess and asked that I write a story based on her. It took me seven years, but finally I present to you  Phooey Kerflooey ! While our own boys delighted in Princess Leia Freyjaā€™s scaredy-cat antics and princess ways, the boys in the story take a bit longer to appreciate Phooeyā€™s gifts. However, I pray that you will enjoy their journey together as they battle the squirrel of the apocalypse and search for perfect peace amidst a storm of chaos. " And I loved this one. It's gone straight back into the TBR pile. A puppy will fix everything.  A boring new house?  Boring house + puppy = adventure!    An attacking squirrel?  Evil squirrel + puppy =...
