Blurb:
Nick Merrill longs for adventure, and he finds it
as one of the most highly-praised smoke jumpers on the West Coast. But when his
best friend dies fighting a blaze, he returns to Lone Creek Ranch to shake off
the loss. There he finds Sawyer Landon, a local middle school teacher who has a
gift for reaching even the most difficult kids. When Sawyer asks him to speak
at the school's annual Career Day, sparks fly. But Nick knows teaching and
adventure are as polar opposite as it get--or are they?

Another
winner from Mary Manners.
The
third in the Lone Creek series doesn't disappoint. Nick, a smoke jumper,
returns home after the death of his best friend. Asked to make a delivery of
flyers for the ranch to the local school, he gets more than he bargained for in
the form of teacher Sawyer and her foster son Alex.
This
book doesn’t fail to delight. The wonderful characters pull you inside their
story, making you a participant not a reader. Feeling what they do, you’re
along for the ride with Nick and Sawyer. A breathtaking journey through laughter and tears that leaves you wanting more.
