Blog Tag. I'm it

I got tagged by Paula Mowery to answer questions about my latest release. I'm meant to tag five more authors for you to go visit but the last time I tried that it didn't work so I'm not going to.

What is the working title of your book?

Well the working title was 12,000 miles to love. As you can see the end title is very different. At one point it was angels from the realms of Sydney.

Blurb:
On an extended holiday from the UK, John Connington finds himself in Sydney with nowhere to stay. Only a telephone number from a friend of someone his sister works with offering him a place to stay. Trusting that God knows what He’s doing, John rings and asks a total stranger if he can stay.

Jo can’t believe the audacity of the man, yet when her flat mate knows of this arrangement there is nothing she can do. She’s not prepared for the avalanche of feelings produced by seeing John. Not impressed by God’s sense of humour she fights how she feels until just before John leaves for home, both their lives change forever.

Can a long distance relationship really work or is God just teasing them both?

Where did the idea come from for the book?
It's based on a true story. Albeit moved to Christmas and condensed into a few weeks instead of a few months. But its how my brother met his wife.

What genre does your book fall under?
Contemporary, Christmas

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
John would be played by Rupert Penry-Jones. And Jo would be played by Kirsty Lee Allan

What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?
The ultimate in long distance relationships--"See, I told you Miss Right lived in Australia."

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
It's being released by my publisher Pelican Book Group as part of their Christmas Extravaganza in Dec 2012

How long did it take to write the first draft of your manuscript?
About six weeks. the same as always regardless of it's length.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I promised my brother I wouldn't kill anyone in this one... so probably Saving Christmas, Times Arrow and Cassie's Wedding Dress.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Like I said above, it's based on how my brother met his wife.
