good day turned bad

Today started off as such a good day. Went to work with a huge smile on my face.

Then things went pear shaped. I learnt from a parent - during a normal conversation - that a fellow member of staff had passed away two days ago. It was just dropped in mind sentence.

- I'm doing this because H isn't here.

-Is H sick

- No she died

-She what???

All the kids at school knew. All the staff knew. Let me rephrase that. All the staff bar me and B - the girl I work with knew.

Right now i dunno whether to cry or just be angry that i wasn't told.
