Kyleigh's Cowboy by Pamela S Thibodeaux

Book Blurb: She’s attempting to start a new life. He’s roamed for more than a decade. Can they let go of the past and grab hold of the future?

Seven years after the death of her husband, Kyleigh Winters turned their old vacation home into a brand new guest ranch. Not willing to join the ranks of lonely women trolling the bars or online in search of a man, Kyleigh is sure if God wishes her to have another husband, He’ll send the perfect someone in His own time. But will she be open to the possibility of new love when He does?

Searching for a place that calls to his soul, Lance Stevens has been a roaming cowboy for ten years since retiring from the Marines. He finds that sanctuary the moment he drives through the Silver Star’s gate and meeting the lovely owner speaks to more than his soul. Will he open to the healing power of love?

Get Pamela Thibodeaux's second chance romance novella today and see how love and faith conquers all.

Extract:
In the days following Thanksgiving, the Silver Star transformed into a fairytale of lights, elves, and cowboy Santas. Decorated boughs and branches filled every nook and cranny of the buildings and lights draped the trees along the drive. Stockings—one for each employee— hung on the mantle above the huge fireplace in the lodge room. Mistletoe graced the entryways. Not wanting to get caught beneath a sprig, Lance peeked in the window before opening the door, then hurried through.

Although she hadn’t actually thrown herself at him, Elaina still made him nervous when they happened to be in the same space.

Kyleigh’s marketing efforts continued to pay off as seldom a day or week went by without at least a few guests. As they had at Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Day feasts would begin around 11 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m., followed by a hayride and caroling around the campfire. Today, though, he hoped to convince his boss to take a drive with him.

He hesitated a moment, leaned against the doorjamb and watched her designing ads for the upcoming festivities. Two computer monitors boasted graphics and text made to entice people into choosing to spend Christmas and/or New Year’s at the Silver Star. His heart swelled at the talent displayed before him. She’s definitely in her element, and brilliant at what she does. He waited to knock until after she took a breath and leaned back in her chair. She turned. His pulse skipped a thud at the smile she bestowed on him.

“Can I help you?”

Yeah, run away with me for a wild, passionate weekend. Heat climbed up his neck. Lance reeled in his wayward thoughts and cleared his throat. “I thought we’d take a drive to Lost Maples State Natural Area. I hear it’s beautiful, especially this time of year before winter sets in.” Before she could hesitate or make excuses he stepped forward and took her hand. “C’mon, we both could use the break. I’ve already cleared it with Mona and Robert,” he added, a grin tugging at his lips.

“Well, looks like I don’t have a lot of choice then.” The surprise and pleasure in her tone belied the severity of the words.

He reached down and caressed her cheek. “You always have a choice with me, but I’d really like you to come along.”

Her quick intake of breath did funny things to his insides. Lance allowed the sharp sweetness of emotions to envelop him.

“OK. I’ll change into hiking shoes, grab a jacket, and meet you at the truck.”

“Great. I’ll see you in a bit.”

A Stalker To Die For by Katy Eeten

A Stalker to Die For by Katy Eeten I began writing this book at least ten years ago. But as often happens, I hit a writing roadblock and put the manuscript to the side. At the time, I wasn’t sure how to make the plot more intriguing or how to give the story a satisfying conclusion. Instead, I focused my efforts on writing five different contemporary Christian novels and novellas over the past several years. But something kept drawing me back to this storyline, so I knew I had to finish it. A Stalker to Die For was my first attempt at adding suspense into the mix—and it was easier said than done! But I finally completed it. And thanks to a great editor, this book guides readers through a variety of emotions while walking the line between romance, faith, and a suspenseful thrill or two.
