Moaning Monday

In an effort to blog more, lets try this.

It's Monday - no one likes them right? So here on my blog you get to moan about one thing each Monday and no one can tell you not to do so. And the picture is mine and totally nothing to do with the post... Or is it lol.

I'll kick off.

Telecom company. (shall remain nameless)
Asked on Friday for a new number. Was told Sat.
Sat - new number?? Nooooo. Was told we forgot. Sorry it'll be done tomorrow
Sun - still no number. Was told... we don't work Sunday's. Sorry. We meant Monday
Monday.... No New Number.

But I told everyone it'll be up and running by Sat. Including my broadband company. And now the nets being stupid cos no one knows which number i should be connected to...

ok. Moan over. You're turn.....

Brilliant idea, Clare! :-)

Ok, let's see ...
School starts again today. And if it's the same procedure as last year, I will receive shopping lists from both boys, listing stuff they need TOMORROW. Tomorrow then, they will bring another list EACH, containing stuff for the subjects they didn't have today, but will have again on the day AFTER tomorrow. And on Wednesday, they will hand me YET another list, maybe a little shorter than the previous ones, containing a special item they DESPERATELY need for arts class next week, but which EACH AND EVERY kid in the same grade in EVERY school in the area needs as well, so ... RUN MUMMY, because: first come, first served. And if not, kid gets a bad mark right at the beginning of the new school year. Or maybe not, But we don't know the new teacher yet, do we? Will she be the Good Witch of the North or the Wicked Witch of the West? And how am I supposed to squeeze in all the other appointments like drums lessons, bassoon lessons, cello lessons, breathing, sleeping ... into the week TODAY when I don't even know their time-tables yet???
And the little one has to be at one end of the town at the same time as the older one has to be at the other end for another appointment ...
So what do we do every year? Follow the Yellow Brick Road ... ;-)

Here's mine:

I have to get a new passport (and pay the fees) in order to fill out a form to get a number to get paid by my publisher. Not the end of the world, and I WILL do it, but I'm finding it such a pain in the neck.

Got one -- for almost a week I've been waiting for a surgical scheduler at the local hospital to call me to set up the date/time for a procedure I need completed. The sooner the better, since I want to know what's what and I want to move beyond this 'blip.' So far, no dice. A watch phone never rings. GRRRR! Prayers appreciated!!! (wanted to do a prayer request to a couple of my friends/fam/social loops, but was waiting for scheduling first)

Know how the school stuff goes, Trillian. Mine went back last week. Eldest starts college tomorrow and they all need/will need stuff.

Had the same thing last year, Patty. Had to go to London, to the US embassy to get mine. Scary as there were like 6 lots of security to get through first.

Am praying Marianne. Hope they get back to you soon.

Nursed a sick hubby all weekend, now I'm sneezing. Grrr...

Marianne, I'm praying for you to get a procedure time and that you receive the results you're hoping for.

Clare, hope you get your phone line soon. :-)

Never had that problem since I homeschooled all six of mine, but I did hate to spend the money on supplies, etc.

Prayed just now for you Marianne.

Hmmm...everyone called in sick so I've been up front all by myself (library) all day. But grateful for the job.

Ugh, do I really have to get up for work? Weekends are just WAAAAAYYY too short! There's never enough time to do...well, anything!!!

However, all joking aside, I'll count my blessings...good job, good home, great family, wonderful church family...God is good!

God bless you all! He will certainly fill all our needs according to His will...
