Curry recipie

oh look at the date - 08/09/10

Well I've had no feedback on this at all, so this will probably be the last one I post. Can't say I haven't tried. Actually tired of trying now.

Curry

500g cubed meat - lamb, beef and chicken all work well
2 tbsp oil
1 onion
1 garlic clove crushed
2 celery sticks
1 apple
1 tbsp flour
2-3 tsp curry powder
½ tsp tumeric
½ tsp cumin
½ pt water + 2 relevant oxos ;-)
1 tsp tomato puree
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp mango chutney
salt and petter
1 tbsp coconut to garnish

heat oven gas 3/170F/325C

brown meat in large pan - i use a wok
add onion, garlic, celery, apple and cook til onion is soft
add flour, curry powder, tumeric and cumin. cook 2 mins stirring all time
add stock, tomato puree, lemon juice, chutney and seasoning. Stir and bring to boil.
put into casserole dish. cover and cook for 1½ hours.
Serve with rice and sprinkled coconut.
nb my lot don't like garlic or celery so i leave those out. quite often i chuck in sweetcorn or pototo and carrot chunks.
